Carlisle GM Nationals 2022 Welcomes Summer and Corvettes
Carlisle GM Nationals will be held June 24 & 25 and will be a celebration of all things under the GM umbrella.
Can’t wait for the Corvettes at Carlisle show at the end of August? We can’t either. But we do have another great show coming up that will hold us over. Carlisle GM Nationals will be held the first weekend of summer, June 24 & 25. It will feature cars and trucks from all GM brands. This includes Chevrolet, Buick, Oldsmobile, Cadillac, Pontiac, GMC and more. In addition, there will be some fantastic Corvette-specific activity such as Corvettes for Chip.
The Carlisle GM Nationals 2022 will have some of the same popular attractions as past years. There will be hundreds of vendors in the automotive flea market section. If you are looking for a rare car part or just a new sign for your garage, you will find it here. The GM Nationals car coral will be back with an offering of about 150 cars for sale. Given the current car market this might be the largest collection of available cars to buy that you are likely to see for a while. There will be an on-site autocross event if you want to push your car a little bit. And who doesn’t love the sound of American muscle? Listen or compete in the exhaust competition. And this is just the tip of the iceberg.
Corvettes for Chip
Corvettes for Chip was moved to the GM Nationals for the first time last year. It was such a hit that it will now be a permanent fixture at the GM Nationals moving forward. As usual this will be a show within a show. You can register your Corvette for the showfield and you can have your car judged. There will also be a memorial parade around the grounds to honor Chip Miller. Birthday Celebrations
Hard to believe but the third generation of Camaro and Firebird is now 40 years old. GM Nationals will have a display of some of the most impressive third gen examples in the world. There will be vendors in attendance with third gen specific merchandise. Also turning 40 is the compact Chevy pickup truck. The S-10/S-15, were the first domestically built compact pickups from the big three. It all started in 1982. There will be a unique display for the S-Series truck to celebrate. And the Nova turns 60! There will be Nova specific seminars, a great Nova display and an awesome Nova showfield at GM Nationals 2022.

When you get to the GM Nationals make sure you make a stop a building Y. In there you will find the best of the best like the Yenkos and the COPOs. The team from Super Car Workshop will be on hand to discuss with you everything you ever wanted to know about preserving and restoring these iconic cars.

In addition to the above, there will be free seminars for topics ranging from general automotive care to performance upgrades. You can get your new performance exhaust installed on site. You could sit in NHRA champion Bruce Larson’s drag car while it warms up. The list goes on and on. It is an event you don’t want to miss.
