Every Corvette We Found in the New Gran Turismo 7 Trailer

We expect most players in Acuras and Mazdas will see plenty of Corvette taillights. Hopefully, it actually arrives before 2025.

If you’re a fan of digital racing, you should know that Sony officially announced that Gran Turismo 7 is coming for the new Playstation 5 console, and it’s coming loaded with some of your favorite Corvettes. Yesterday Sony held a digital event that showed off the new PS5 hardware and more than two dozen new games. In that list of new games was Gran Turismo 7. This is pretty big news considering the PS4 didn’t even get a proper Gran Turismo game, instead, it received the e-sports focused Gran Turismo Sport. It was way back in 2013 when Gran Turismo 6 arrived for the PS3, making this new numbered iteration something fans have been asking for.

With the new trailer, we get a quick look at the stunning graphics, new career mode, and the briefest glimpse of some of the cars coming to the roster. We spent some time watching the trailer to look for every car we could, and there are more than a couple Corvettes. One of the first cars you can see in the trailer is a Corvette C7.R battling on track. A few seconds later we catch a glimpse of a garage scene where we can see a C2 and C3 sitting next to each other as the camera pans over the cockpit of the 1959 Corvette Stingray racer concept. If you watch the 4k video you can also just spot a standard C7 way in the background of the garage scene.

All of these Corvettes were included in Gran Turismo Sport, so it’s good to see they are returning. One thing we couldn’t find any signs of is the new C8 Corvette. We have high hopes though, as rival racing game Project Cars 3 features both the C8 and C8.R in its reveal trailer. We also expect Microsoft to hit back with a C8 in the new Forza Motorsports game as well.

Gran Turismo 7 Corvette

The only hitch in this little bit of gaming armor is that Sony declined to announce any sort of release date for Gran Turismo 7. Considering Polyphony Digital has a reputation of dragging its feet on releasing new games, we just hope it comes sooner rather than later. We don’t want to wait any longer than necessary to experience that 4K, ray-traced, Corvette goodness.
