Dealers Can Reportedly Submit 2023 Corvette Z06 Orders This Week

These 2023 Corvette Z06 orders are preliminary, however, and it could be weeks before they’re matched with allocations.

Now that we know pretty much everything there is to know about the all-new 2023 Corvette Z06 – including the details about its amazing engine, available options, and price – all that’s left is to order one and begin patiently awaiting its arrival. Like most other everything else about the C8 Z06, however, the details surrounding this process has been a bit muddy thus far, though some information recently surfaced that suggests dealers will be able to submit preliminary 2023 Corvette Z06 orders starting July 28, according to Corvette Blogger.

This information regarding 2023 Corvette Z06 orders comes to us straight from a handful of dealers, who are reporting that the new model showed up in GM’s Workbench order system prior to the opening of order banks this week. However, it seems as if this is only a preliminary process, as orders placed beginning this Thursday may not be paired with allocations for a few weeks, which means that we’ll still be sitting around dreaming of wringing out that glorious flat-plane crank V8 for a while, even after placing an order.

These preliminary orders will go into the system under Status 1100 before GM assigns allocations, which won’t be separated from Stingray allocations, it seems. Instead, dealers could get a percentage or total number of Z06 allocations that they’re allowed to order, creating somewhat of a more clarified process. However, many dealers are reportedly holding off on taking preliminary orders due to the fact that customers are still making changes to their builds, while the release of the Z06 Order Guide will undoubtedly lead to more changes.

Then there’s the matter of actually building the new Z06, a process that is rumored to begin very slowly, with very few units rolling off the line at first as GM aims to keep the quality control process tight. All of this essentially means that Z06 order holders will still likely be waiting a while to take delivery, which isn’t necessarily a surprise in this supply constrained world.
